The Maldives You Actually Dreamed Of
A private beach, cloud-soft beds, and a reef full of turtles. Huraa Island, 20 minutes from the airport.
From $95/night · Breakfast included · Private beach
Four rooms. One clear point of view.
Serenity Stay is built around a simple belief: you deserve to sleep as well on vacation as you do at home. Better, actually. Memory foam mattresses, Egyptian cotton sheets, down comforters. Air conditioning set to whatever makes you comfortable. Private bathrooms. Breakfast, every morning.
We have four rooms. That is deliberate. Small means personal, and personal means we actually notice the things that matter.
Huraa is the Maldives most tourists never find.
Eighteen kilometres north of Malé. Nine hundred to sixteen hundred residents. A working fishing harbour. Boat-builders who still shape dhonis by hand. Mangroves two minutes from our door.
This is a living community — not a resort island. The pace here is different. The people are real. The island has been here long before tourism found it, and it will be here long after any travel trend moves on.
Breakfast is included. Always.
Continental breakfast served from 7:30 to 10:00 AM. No surcharges, no breakfast packages to bolt on at checkout. Start your day properly — then walk six minutes to the beach.
We know that how a morning starts determines how a day goes. We take this seriously.
Four Rooms. One Standard: Exceptional.
Every room is air-conditioned, private, and built around one belief — that you deserve to sleep as well on vacation as you do at home.
The Lagoon Room
Our brightest, airiest room — wake up to the Indian Ocean
The Garden Room
Lush tropical garden views, the perfect peaceful retreat
The Ocean Suite
Extra space, unobstructed ocean views, and a king bed to match
Your Days Here
Breakfast at the guesthouse, 7:30 onwards. Continental spread, unhurried. Then a six-minute walk to Huraa Bikini Beach — arrive early and you might have it mostly to yourself.
Book a snorkeling trip through us, or rent a paddleboard and stay close to shore. If you want to go further: diving, dolphin watching, or a sandbank excursion into open water. We can arrange all of it.
Walk the mangroves at golden hour — they are two minutes from the door. Watch the fishing boats return. Eat local. Come back to a room that is cool, quiet, and ready for you.
A real island.
A real welcome.
Huraa is not a resort. It is a community of 900 to 1,600 people living the way Maldivians have always lived — fishing, building boats, and watching the tide. You are invited into that.
What Makes Us Different
Sleep Like You Mean It
Memory foam mattresses, Egyptian cotton sheets, down comforters. We invested in the beds because we know that is where a guesthouse can quietly outperform a mediocre resort room.
Breakfast Is On Us
A continental breakfast is included with every stay, served 7:30 to 10:00 AM. No hidden extras, no packages to add at checkout. Fuel up before the reef.
Your Own Beach
Private beach access — not a public stretch, not a shared resort beach. Somewhere to put your towel down and call it yours for the day.
20 Minutes From the Airport
Velana International Airport to Serenity Stay: approximately 20 minutes by speedboat. One of the easiest island stays in the country.
Only Four Rooms
We are small by design. Four rooms means four sets of guests — which means you get actual attention, not a ticket number. We notice things. We remember your name.
Real Island, Real Maldives
Huraa is a living community — fishing boats, working boat-builders, a mangrove ecosystem. This is the Maldives that exists when tourists are not looking.
Everything Sorted. Just Arrive.

What Guests Say
"We've stayed in three Maldives resorts and honestly? Serenity Stay was our favourite. The house reef is extraordinary — we saw four turtles before breakfast on day two. The hosts know every corner of this island and genuinely want you to love it as much as they do."
"The 20-minute speedboat ride from the airport sets the tone. You arrive, the stress leaves, and you realise you've chosen exactly the right place. The room was immaculate, the breakfast was genuinely the best I had in the Maldives, and the reef snorkeling was better than anything I've paid $200 for elsewhere."
"We were nervous about staying on a local island rather than a resort — completely unfounded. Serenity Stay had everything we needed and the local island gave us something no resort can: authenticity. The cooking class, the dolphin cruise, the sandbank picnic. Perfect."
