Huraa sits in Kaafu Atoll, approximately 18 kilometres north of Malé — the Maldivian capital and home to Velana International Airport. Close enough to the airport that your transfer is a manageable part of the journey, not the journey itself. Far enough that the moment you arrive, you feel like you are somewhere else entirely.
The island is small — walkable end to end in minutes — and inhabited by a close-knit community of 900 to 1,600 residents. This is not a resort island. It is a real place, with a working harbour, a fishing tradition, and a pace of life that most people find immediately restorative.
